Deliberate Practice in the Bible

I am currently reading the book “Talent is Overrated – What really separates world-class performers from everybody else” by Geoff Golvin where I got introduced to the concept of “Deliberate Practice” – which is consciously pursuing excellence by practicing repeatedly the things that will make you better. Immediately a verse that I had read just a few days before came to mind that reflected the implementation of Deliberate Practice

” [6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
[7] And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
[8] And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
[9] And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.”
Deuteronomy 6:6-9

The words that were laid out in the first five verses of the chapter were to be taught to each person’s child(ren) diligently, it should be drilled into their tiny little minds when you are with them in the home, when you go out with them, when its time for bed and first thing in the morning. The words should be stuck on the walls of the house and their gates. They should be bound up in their hand and mind. This is a perfect example of “Deliberate Practice”. And what exactly needs to be etched in the kid’s hearts and minds and what are the benefits of following these words persistently are below

“[1] Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
[2] That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
[3] Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
[4] Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
[5] And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”
Deuteronomy 6:1-5

A worthy task each parent is entrusted with when bringing up their kids, to observe deliberate practice of these 9 verses in Deuteronomy 6

I am curious if there are other instances in the Bible where the “Deliberate Practice” definition can be applied i.e – Do something repeatedly and reap really great and extra-ordinary benefits as a result.
